1.Zero tolerance
Flare has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This includes any content, conduct or communication that sexualizes, grooms, exploits or endangers a minor.
Any account involved in this behavior is permanently removed.
2.Flare is 18+ only
- Date-of-birth gate: everyone must enter their date of birth at sign-up, and anyone under 18 is blocked from creating an account.
- Selfie liveness check: every user completes a selfie liveness check before using the app.
- Removal: accounts that appear to belong to minors are removed.
3.How to report
- In the app: tap Report on any profile or chat.
- By email: safety@[YOUR-DOMAIN]
Reports involving minors are prioritized. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
4.What we do
When we find or are told about CSAE or CSAM, we:
- remove the content and the accounts involved;
- preserve evidence as required by law; and
- report to the relevant authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required by law [confirm reporting obligations for your jurisdiction].
5.Child safety point of contact
Our designated contact for child safety is [NAME / ROLE], reachable at safety@[YOUR-DOMAIN].
